Paloma's Nest

Rachelle found this fantastic plate. It commemorates the election of Obama but it is also the Sharp Family motto. I love it. I want it. Check out paloma's Nest on Etsy. They make the cutest stuff! Here is the description
New item! In commemoration of this historic election year, I felt it was only appropriate to use some of my favorite inspiring words from President-Elect Barack Obama.

This tiny white ceramic bowl is hand made and hand stamped with the words "WHILE WE BREATHE, WE HOPE."
Hope must be an eternal flame in our hearts- as individuals, as a nation, and as a world, we will never reach our goals and dreams if we do not hold onto Hope.

Perfect on a dresser or desk, to catch jewelry and all of life's little treasures. A wonderful gift for yourself or for someone special.

Each piece is hand-crafted of fine pure white clay, and fired in our kiln; they have a protective matte finish applied to the surface and are designed for decorative use only.
The backside is marked "words of Barack Obama 2008."

Each bowl measures approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter...it fits nicely in the palm of your hand.
Note that each bowl is individually made to order, and therefore variations will occur...your bowl may not look exactly like the one in the photo.

Due to popular demand (awesome!), please allow 10 days for your bowl to be ready to ship out to you.
It will arrive in a lovely gift box, ready to give (or keep)!

Total Cost (with Shipping) $21.50

I will have to start figuring out how to do that. Also for some of the items, like the baby announcements- I obviously don't want to buy only one.

I love Shoes

Well as I was accepting plants for my little green patch on Facebook I noticed something on the side- fantastic shoes from Betsey Johnson. the link took me to Like.com which took me to one of my favorite places to buy shoes- Zappos.com They have super fast shipping and a great selection. They aren't always the cheapest but they are competitive and have great delivery which I really value. I thought these heels were really inspirational- but which color do I need them in- red or blue? Such a patriotic dilemma. Like.com has a really cool feature where they find shoes that are a similar style that you might like. This could help me spend even more money! I love shoes so very much.

Clothes from Tutibella.com

I just love baby clothes and I found some for my baby and some for a gift. The gift is the shirt with the monkey. Small Paul has some of the cutest baby clothes- and we could give them to cousin Janelle who is due soon. She still doesn't know what she is having so don't tell! Either way Paul used to call her monkey so we thought we should get her baby some monkey clothes and now here is the cutest Julian T Shirt. You can get it in white or pink. I personally think Hot Pink looks good on Danielle. Also isn't this sleeper with elephants to die for? I love sleepers now and Danielle would fit in the 12-18 month size. I found it at Tutibella.com.

Bugaboo makes Beautiful Strollers.

It seems like as soon as Danielle was born and I already had all the baby products I would ever need I realized what the best baby products were- some of them I had, some of them I didn't. One of the biggest problems? The Stroller. I wanted a jogging stroller and other strollers, but we got the jogging stroller first and then my husband was done. Sadly, we got two flat tires and then they never seemed to get repaired. I still don't have a working jogging stroller. I wish I had the Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller- I love the Bassinet- then your baby could sleep in it while you are out. Plus this stroller is hot. You can reverse it so baby faces any direction you want
Here are some of the features:

  • The most fully-loaded Bugaboo stroller
  • Modular infant-to-toddler travel system features reversible bassinet and seat
  • Reversible, fully reclining, 3 position titling seat
  • Reversible handlebar allows you to use the small swiveling wheels in Large sun canopy and under seat bag for storage
Free shipping and no tax at pampered tot- I found them on Amazon.

Squeakers

At my little Brother's wedding we had a baby shoe emergency and at Thanksgiving Point in Utah we got Danielle some new shoes- I didn't know it at the time but her shoes were squeaky! I was so happy because I could always tell where my baby was. She was thrilled with the fun sound and still wants to wear the shoes rather than trying to rip them off like other pairs. I found some cute ones online and I would recommend them to all parents with toddlers- for special evens or just fun in the backyard. I feel like it is mo$re secure because I can hear her.
At Kidsqueakers.com you can get them with free shipping and 10% of the proceeds are donated to Operation Smile!

CarolinaPatchworks.etsy.com

Well I found a quilter that I love on Etsy. Carolinapatchworks makes such cute things and has full sized handmade quilt you can buy. Some of her quilts have thousands of views so they are really popular.I really like her options- she even sells a quilt that is called the space invaders quilt. the quilts are made by a mom named Emily who has two kids and a blog mostly about quilting which has some great photos! The name come from her location- North Carolina. I think I would get a quilt with monkeys on it for my little monkey. there is a twin sized one or a baby sized (36" by 36") one that is $70.00 which is pretty affordable. Or maybe I would have to get a retro arcade quilt since it is so cool.
here is a description:
Relive the action, the excitement. Gather a pocketful of quarters and head to your living room to relax under the 8-bit glory of the arcade classic Galaga brought back to Earth as a lovingly-crafted 18:1 scale recreation in luxurious 100% cotton. Better yet, get a second player and keep warm together as you take turns destroying the enemy hordes -- there's plenty of room under this 60-by-60-inch quilt, and it can only help improve your score. Travel in space and time without leaving your couch! This quilt is fully compatible with the XBox 360, Wii, PlayStation III, all high-definition televisions, most models of fireplace, and a wide variety of good books.

This quilt is crafted after you place your order, and will match the photo closely but details and materials may vary slightly. The time to receive your quilt will depend on my current workload, but generally takes 4-6 weeks; please contact me for current shipping time estimates if you'd like to know before ordering. I'm also happy to do custom orders, so if there's something in particular you'd like, let me know!

InkObsession

I love baby announcements and I found a neat couple at inkobsession.etsy.com. How about the cute snail one if you are having a boy or a cute flowered photo announcement for a girl. I like how some of their designs have great little drawings- like the flowers at the bottom of the girl announcement. I wish that I had planned in advance enough to have customized invitations for my daughter's first birthday. Also many of the photo ones have great photos. It makes me want to buy a camera as part of the baby expenses for my next baby. What a great idea Harley!
Here is a copy of their shop announcement: www.INKOBSESSIONDESIGNS.com

I started designing professionally in 2001 when I took a job in the marketing department of a publishing house. I eventually moved on to a different company (where I also do marketing) and my ad campaigns and designs have been featured in home and garden magazines.

I recently decided to start selling my designs to the general public. My 4.25” x 5.5” invitations and announcements are printed in house on a color laser jet printer. 4” x 6” and 5” x 7” designs for photo announcements and invitations are printed by a photo lab and can be uploaded to a location near you to save on shipping and handling. I also charge for a design only fee if you would rather pay for the design and print it yourself. Whatever works best for you will work for me!
